RISE Webinar: Understanding the Importance of E/M Codes in Risk Adjustment

HCC coding is based on a patient’s chronic conditions, so the use of ICD-10-CM codes is heavily used in Risk Adjustment. In the shift to more risk adjustment coding with Medicaid and the change in recent Evaluation and Management (E/M) services, coders and auditors will now have to have a better understanding of E/M codes so overcoding and undercoding occurrences remain minimal.
